Banana Split
1. for this project, i decided to make a banana split in a blue bowl.
2. For this project i used a lot of problem solving, there were some thing i had to create and then erase and create again over and over again.
3. From this project, i learned that its really hard to create a project and then try to move it over to the corect spot, i probably had to do that like for ten minutes
4.i am mostly proud of my banana its a pretty good looking banana
5. if i could change one thing, id probably try to find a better way to add chocolate syrup.

PIE...
1. For this project, i started off with just wanting to make a piece of realy yummy pie. but i ended up creating a dinning room, and outside area, and a kitchen with lots of details.
2.For this project i definitely used creativity because everything in this creation i thought of and tried to make it look at unique as possible.
3.Fom this project, i learned that its easy to expand your ideas and make them really awesome and cool.
4.For this project i am mostly proud that i started on something really simple and small and i turned it into something cool and creative.
5. if i could change one thing, i would probably give myself some more time so that i could finish the entire house

New Hous
1. For my tenth project, i decided to create a new house. judging this one form the last one i think this one is much much better. it definitely isnt the best piece of wok and im sure much more could be done to it but all i wanted to do was show that i have improved my skills and i think i did.
2.For this i think i definitely used creativity and innovation. where else do you see a blue, pink, red, green, yellow, purple, ect. house? And its definitely weirdly shaped. When i was making this house i could only picture a rich man or woman living here so i tried to make it look as interesting expensive and high class as possible.
3.From this project i learned that things dont always turn out the way they should. there were many shapes and objects i tried to create but i was having a hard time doing cause of the weird placement or angle i was creating it at. some things i just had to give up on my project and instead just try to create something else.
4. I am mostly proud of how interesting and cool my project looks. At first i just started out building shapes and pushing and pulling them in every direction. Then i looked at what i created and thought..this looks like a pretty cool looking house design maybe i should make another house and i did snd it did look pretty interesting and cool.
5. If i could change something from this project i would probably add more detail to the house its self. it looks kind of plain and not like a real house. there could be things i could have added.

iPhone
1. For this project, i decided to create my new iphone. i decided to create my new iPhone because Ian told me too because i couldnt think of anything else to do :/ Im really happy he told me to do this though because i ended up making something pretty cool and realistic and really detailed. It looks like pictures someone took.
2. For this project i used a lot of critical thinking. There were times when i would get stuck and not know what i could possibly do to fix it but i used my thinking cap and i figured it out :) also i figured out how to use shortcuts fo some of the difficult things i had to do.
3.From this prject, i learned that making an iPhone takes a lot of detail and work and can be sometimes difficult, but easy to overcome.
4. For this project, i am mostly proud of the fact that i was able to add every little bit of detail to my project. i was able to make it look real
5. If i had to red this projct, one thing i would try to change and make better are my ovals for some of the buttons on the phone. some of them are a little disfigured and weird but u cant really tell

New York
1. For my eighth picture, i decided to create my favorite city in the whole world. New York. Of course it isn't exact or anything but it will do. i tried to make it look just like how i remeber the city looking, most lights on, some lights off, some buildings with only one light or one window. some with no windows. i kinda remember the bridge but i couldnt exactly remeber what it looked like so i just did my best to make a bridge.
2. i think again, as for all my other projects, i used creativity and innovation for this project. i tried to make it look as real as it could be and i added some interesting patterns and found ways to make the buildings look closer or farther away.
3. From this project, i leaned that the most painful thing to create are the windows, even if you can create one and then just copy it and move it around and stuff, its still a pain in the butt.
4.i am most proud of the buildings i made in this project i think they look pretty cool and real.
5. if i could change anything in my project, i would probably try to fix the bridge and make my windows look a little nicer than they are. and id probably add some more buildings.

Fishy NOOO!
1. For my 7th project, i decided to create part of an ocean or a lake. in this, i created a fish, a clam, a worm on a hook, bubbles and of course seaweed. The worm of course is screaming no because he doesnt want to get eaten and he knows the fish is going to die as well!
2. i think for this project, i used mostly creativity and innovation. The reason i think this is because i just kind of thought of this idea for no particular reason and just went with it and made it really fun and happy looking even though its really a sad part of nature.
3. From this project, i learned that i can use the squiggle tool to help me draw any shape i want, like the worm for example, i couldnt use the arc tool or the line tool or polygon tool, i had to use the free hand squiggle too and it allowed me to put my worm on the hook.
4. For this project, i am mostly poud of the pretty fish i made, i think it is really pretty haha :) and i used the arc tool to create different shapes of its fins and stuff.
5. If i coukd go back and redo this project i would probably add more to it, it looks kind of boring and plain but i just kind of ran out ofspace and ideas to do things.

Apple computer.
1. For my sixth project, i decided to create an apple computer! i decided to do this because i didnt know what to do and i just made the first thing i saw or thought of. i also create its key board and its mouse and im proud of myself cause i did it all by myself with some of Ians help.
2. For this project, i think i used critical thinking and problem solving skills because i had to really evaluate my object and try to get it exact, and there were some parts that were really hard and tricky but i figured out how to do it. for example, i wanted to create the little apple symbol on the front of the computer and on the little mouse tool but i couldnt get it exact...so what i did was bring a computer made apple symbol and i placed it on the computer and traced over it. also i had to really look long and hard at the key board in front of me so i could get each key exact.
3. From this project, i learned a lot of short cut tools that will help me speed things along quicker. i learned how to select and multiply and i leaned how to rotate objects faster and all that.
4. For this project, i am mostly proud of the fact that i was able to problem sole and do something by myself instead of always having to resort to Ian or the computer. i mean i had to have some of their help but less than usual.
5. If i could change one thing about this project i would add more detail to the back of the computer, i would add detail to the keyboard and i would probably add the little cord that goes from the mouse to the key board and from the key board to the back of the computer.

Mr pacman and his lady.
1.For my fifth project, i decided to make Mr. and Mrs. Pacman, along with their lovely home, their food, and their ghosts. i made sure to include lots of detail and make it look really cute. I dont have a clue where i got the idea to make this, it just kind of happened. however, it sure did make for a pretty fun and cool project.
2. For this project i used a lot of creativity and innovation. Creativity by adding clothes to the Pacmans, creativity by adding the ghosts and creativity by adding their little grid home with their dots. Also for adding the little heart between the two :)
3.From this project, i learned that you can create objects in the middle f the air! as you can see my ghosts and the heart are floating in the air...and it was that hard to do. I learned that no matter how hard i try, i cant make anything perfect. So if you see my Pacman and their house looking kind of goofy, know that i did try but theyre a little imperfect haha.
4. I am most proud of my little grid/house. i think it looks kind of cool and just adds to the image and makes it look fuller and better. plus it looks like the real grid from the actual game so yeah.
5. If i was to restart this project i would probably try a little harder to perfect it more and not let it look so sloppy, also i would probably hae tried to figure out why the backs of my pacman and my hearts werent appearing when i push/pulled them.

What i have learned/ what ive accomplished
Through out this past quarter i have learned a lot doing my independent study. I decided to choose 3D dimensional design which is with Google Sketchup, and i thought it would be easy since you're just drawing out 3D shapes. i was however very wrong, its actually quite difficult to do! For the first project i decided to recreate my own car. It was pretty much an epic fail. the reason it was so bad was because i didn't have a clue what i was doing and i couldn't seem to figure it out. cars are suppose to be curvy and with weird shapes and designs and my car just looked like a square glass model. From that project i learned that im not as good as i thought i was and i that i need to try to experiment more till i'm familiar with my creations. From then on, no my projects didn't turn into the most awesome detailed thing ever, but they did begin to improve. i tested more designes and ideas out and found out that im actually quite creative. I learned that there really is more to do with sketchp than i thought there was and you can really create just about anything. Maybe i cant, not right now, but somebody can do it and its pretty cool. So for this quarter i have accomplished my goal which was to become better at google sketchup. ive learned that i am capable of doing a lot and that i can be creative.

Swimming pool
1.For my fourth project, i decided to create a swimming pool. its not the best looking swimming pool, its kind of ghetto looking but it definitely works :) i decided to make a swimming pool because i love swimming and swimming pools are just fun. i was able to meet all the requirements i was very creative i used as much detail as i could and made my swimming pool look just like a normal one would.
2. For this project i think i used a lot of creativity and critical thinking. there were a lot of problems in my way but i was able to get around most of them. i added detail and cool designes and ideas to my project to make it look very cool and interesting.
3. From this project, i learned that i should save more often because i was creating this project before without saving and my computer froze and deleted it. so i have learned from this project the importance of saving.
4.for this project i am mostly proud of the pool itsself that i created. i think its a very cool interesting design and it looks pretty realistic and fun.
5. if i was to recreate this project i would probably try to learn how to creat my own diving board and maybe even a water slide. and i would try to learn how to create people.

The Happy Machine
1.So for my third project, i made what i call the happy machine. it sounds weird and stupid but i had no idea what to do for my third project so, i just started doodling and making shapes. i ended up realizing that i was just kinda letting my mind go free with its creations and i made this super cheesey ugly looking thing haha but it made me feel kinda happy. so then i started to add things in my life that actually make me happy. you probably cant tell, but i used swimming ppol water as one of the paints for one of my shapes because...swimming makes me happy. i used green and purple because greens my favorite color and the purple just looked interesting with it. i put a smiley face cause well its called the happy machine. and of cours i added love cause everyone knows you need love to be happy at least some kind of love in some kind of way.
2. For this project, i definitely used creativity. i did whatever came to mind and i didnt hold back. you cant look at that and tell me someone else has made this thing. though it isnt beautiful though yes it is pretty weird and silly i love it and think it reflects my creativity.
3. form this project, i learned that i love the push/pull tool. i like to push out objects and pull them back in and make the project look more interesting and fancy and whatnot. i also learned that the triangle button on google sketchup makes a pentagon! i enjoyed using that.
4. for this project, i am mostly proud of the fact that i just let myself draw and have fun with it. im proud that i let some of myself show and that i made something that could make me and maybe someone else smile, even if theyre smiling because theyre laughing at how silly my project is.
5.i could improve my project by maybe adding more detail to it or adding more of myself into the project instead of just some silly random shapes.

House
1.For my second project, i decided to make a nice little house. My house doesnt have too much detail and probably doesnt look all that exciting or unique but i bet there are lots of people who would love to live in my home :). I am somewhat pressed for time with my projects since i dont meet here everyday and i have to have 12 projects done by the end of the semester, so i cant always add very specific cool things to my projects or perfect them but i do try my best to make them look pretty good.
2.For this project i think i used and showed basic operations and concepts. i used simple easy things to make this project and i used prior knowledge and skills to create it. i thought about my options for certain things and tested them out and saw what worked best and what didnt.
3. From this project, i learned how to create multiple objects from just one. I had Ian sitting here next to me to help but after he showed me once i got the hang of it. instead of sitting here remaking and reforming an object to look the exact same as another, all i have to do is select it, press the move tool and hold down option and dwam! a new object exactly the same appears.
4. For this project, i am mostly proud of my staircase railings which i made all by myself and they look pretty cool. Theyre a little too small for my house but they do add a little detail and coolness to my project i think.
5.I think if i was to start over with this project, the one thing id improve is my detail and also the paint on my house. my house does look a little bland and weird looking and i think if i had a little more time and i could start over, those two things would definitely change.

My first project, a car.
1.For my first project, i decided to make my own car. It was actually more difficult than i thought it was going to be. Cars are not box shaped, they're round and have different kinds of shapes all over, and it was just very difficult to create really good detail on difficult surfaces. plus this is my first time using goodle sketchup in 2 years so there are some things i definitely forgot how to do. hopefully as this class goes on and i make more projects i will be able to imporve my skills and make much better and cooler looking objects with more detail. i was not able to meet every requirment because i am not as well educated with google sketchup as i thought i was and tried to make a difficult project too soon.
2. this project relates to creativity and innovation because i had a very creative and cool idea to make my own car and make it look almost exactly alike. there were some things i really struggled with but i was able to put some important detail on my car to show that it was a pearl green Subaru legacy and it was awd. i was also able to create the door handles and make them look exactly like the ones on my car and finally i was able to make the headlights and backlights look exactly like the headlights and backlights on my car! hopefully if i have time at the end of this semester and i am more educated with google sketchup i can go back and try to finish and improve my little car.
3. From this project, i learned that it is very hard to create windows and lights and stuff on round surfaces. its hard to make you lines arc around your surface just right enough to create a sunroof or a window...so i did as well as i could and i had to get rid of the sunroof and i had to make some of my surfaces on my car flat even though they are actually round. however you cant really tell so it doesn't look bad. I also learned that i do not know as much about sketchup as i should and that i need to start simpler and work my way to the top as i learnt through this semester.
4. For this project, i am mostly proud of the fact that even though things went wrong and there were lots of really difficult things in my way, i still kept trying and pushing myself to finish and do as best as i possibly could. i am also proud that i found ways around my obsticals.
5. oh there are definitely lots of ways i could improve this project, for one i could learn how to draw objects on curved surfaces so that i could really make my car look detailed and correct. also i could learn how to curve the edges of my car so that it actually looks like a car and not a square with a rounded top. i could also learn how to make the detail on my car look sharper and not so messy and ugly. also i could probably learn to scale my car better. i noticed looking at the car and looking at the actual picture that it wasnt shapped exactly the way i wanted it to be.

More about Sugata's experiments
I think the reason he did these experiments was to try to see if, 1. Kids could teach themselves, and 2. How many people were interested in learning but can't because they don't have a teacher to teach them. His experiments were a good idea because now people know that yes there are children out there who want to learn and those children know how to teach themselves if we just give them something to work with. This video, and experiments have to do with my independent study because for my independent study, i am going to have to learn how to help myself and if i really want to learn something i really have to try and work at it even on my own time.

Learning
Do you think you can teach your self anything?
Yes, i believe i can teach myself anything if i work hard at it and try my very best and do everything i need to do to get there. If you make it your priority and major goal to learn something new and you know you need to learn by yourself, you can push yourself and push yourself to do the best you can and to try to learn a little more each day or week till you know what it is you need to know by heart. Don't give up!
